You feel safer than if you don't have one.

This product works perfectly fine I have purchased other similar products from different manufacturers and have had some type of glitch whether the battery does not hold a charge or faulty buttons. This product seems to have decent craftsmanship.

MUST TOUCH SKIN

None of the reviews reference the effectiveness of this zapper. My husband was concerned because of that. He requested that I use it on him, and when we did, it didn't have any effect on him at all through his clothing. He then tried it on his skin himself and stated that it gave him enough of a jolt to startle and shock him.He was satisfied that if I was in a situation where I could be assaulted if I was able to push it against the assailant's neck or face, it would offer me enough time to get away.So, as with most legal stun guns and stationery zappers, unless the assailant is shirtless, you need to make sure that you contact skin for this to be effective for protection.
